Are you all volunteers?

The majority of what happens here is donated time from our incredible volunteers. We have a few Hospice Halifax employees to ensure consistent coverage. Here is more information on how to volunteer with us.

Where do you get your clothes?

We get our clothes from our community members and supporters of Hospice Halifax. We do not purchase in bulk.

What can I donate?

We accept clothing only and new or gently worn shoes and boots. We accept accessories such as jewelry, hats, scarves, ties, belts and purses. Please read our Donation Information for more details.

What days can I donate?

We take donations on Wednesdays during our opening hours 10-5. You don’t need an appointment.

Where do I donate?

We have a designated area at the back of the building. You can drive around our shop and you will see a white container and a yellow guardrail. There you will see a white door and you just ring the doorbell and a volunteer or staff member will help you.

Do You Accept Returns?

We are unable to accept returns, exchanges, replacements or offer refunds. All of our items are given to us from donors who trust that our Tax Receipt Policies will be upheld. If you wish, you are able to return any items to us for resale under your name.

Which Methods of Payment Do You Accept?

In store, we accept all methods of payment except American Express. You can also pay in store by gift cards.

Do You Charge Tax?

Our store doesn’t charge you tax. You pay the price you see!
